After receiving the following consultation event timetable from the East Leicestershire and Rutland Clinical Commissioning Group (ELG CCG), Sir Edward Garnier, MP for Harborough, Oadby and Wigston, wrote to Tim Sacks, the Chief Operating Officer for the ELR CCG, requesting a consultation event in Oadby. Edward Garnier commented: “It did not make sense that a consultation which could have direct consequences for Oadby residents was not to have a local event at which they could express their views”. Tim Sacks replied to Sir Edward confirming that there will be a consultation event on 28 March from 10am-12.30pm at the Walter Charles Centre in Oadby and that there would be an evening one on 20 March. The second consultation event will be on 20 March 2014 from 6.00-8.30pm at the Refectory at the Beauchamp College.
“I encourage all interested constituents to attend one of the two events in Oadby to express their views about the walk-in-centre in Oadby. There is also an event on Thursday 3 April at the Bassett Street Community Centre in South Wigston from 12 noon to 3pm.”
