Edward Garnier MP for Harborough Oadby and Wigston met Inspector Sian Walls, the new Commander of Oadby and Wigston’s local policing unit. Inspector Walls who replaced Inspector Jed Keen, grew up and worked in the local area and immediately prior to taking up her current position, worked as a temporary Chief Inspector project managing two major IT systems across the force. During the meeting Edward Garnier and Inspector Walls discussed the various issues which Oadby and Wigston police have to contend with and how best to deal with, any potential challenges. They emphasised the importance of working together to ensure that the public receive the best possible service and crime levels are kept as low as possible.
Commenting Edward Garnier said, “I was sad to see Inspector Keen move to a new position but was very pleased to meet with his successor, Inspector Walls. She has a good understanding of local issues and I hope that we will be able to work closely together. I wish her every success in this new position. Crime levels are low in Oadby and Wigston but we have no room for complacency.”
